Happy Birthday to the Girl Scouts of America. We had over 30 DBO Girl Scouts help us lead the pledge of allegiance this morning!!!! #DBOHasHEART
One of our Black History Month activities was learning about the author/ illustrator Faith Ringgold who makes quilts to tell stories. DBO Students received an extra Art period a week and each made their own quilt square which was assembled into 1 large quilt!!! See the pic.

Out of an abundance of caution all Rockaway Township after school activities are cancelled today, March 9.
Due to the forecast of inclement weather, we will have a 2-hour delayed opening tomorrow March 9th. We will reassess in the morning, and if conditions worsen, we may call for a school closure at that point.
Today, we recognize International Women's Day which is a global day celebrating the historical, cultural, and political achievements of women. As the T-Shirt in the picture says, "Girls with dreams become women with vision." #DBOHasHEART

Take a trip to these new nations! Here are the DBO Band Buster projects from our first semester. The kids did a fantastic job researching, collaborating, and creating their Slide presentations and 3-D landform maps. Stay tuned for what Band Busters have in store next.

Happy Music in Our Schools Month! Meet DBO’s Clarinet Section! Mrs. Poylangada’s Favorite Music Memory: I loved playing in concert band. I loved it when we would get to a particular movement in the song, and we'd crescendo to the point where the song seemed to explode!
